Why hire a Month-of Coordinator?
Planning a wedding takes a lot of work and time, especially if you are working full time on top of that. Staying organized is key. Even the most organized couples need help sometimes. As the time of your wedding draws near, you want to be able to step back and look at all you have accomplished leading up to this point. You should be able to enjoy your day with your loved ones and not have any added stress. Hiring a Month-of Coordinator can be the answer to having a stress-free wedding. Here are 5 benefits to hiring a Month-of Coordinator.
1.Creating a wedding day timeline.
There are a lot of details that go into your wedding day timeline that most people don’t even think about. From trying to organize when your wedding party needs to arrive at their getting ready location, to when you need to be ready for your getting ready photos. You don’t want to be scrambling to get dressed, have a few photos taken and then rushing out the door to the ceremony. Your Month-of Coordinator will work with your entire vendor team to make sure you are given enough time to enjoy every moment; from that first look with your parents to your first look with your soon to be spouse. It’s an important day in your life, don’t rush it. Enjoy it!
2.Working and organizing your amazing vendor team.
You may have the most amazing vendor team helping you with your wedding, but it can be a big job to make sure you are organizing them all correctly, knowing when they need to be set-up by and how much time it will take to set-up. Your Month-of Coordinator will take care of all the details. They will ensure they know which vendors are arriving when, that they have enough time to get things set-up so that they aren’t scrambling as your guests arrive, and be their go-to person on the wedding day. You don’t want to be getting texts or phone calls from your DJ while you are getting your photos done about where they are supposed to set-up. Enjoy your photo time. Let you planner worry about where the DJ is.
3.Worrying about how your personal items are going to get where they need to be and set-up.
If you are doing a welcome table, do you know who will be setting that up? Most venues won’t touch items that don’t belong to them. You also don’t want to be asking a family or friend to go to the venue to set-up in case they are running behind or there are a lot of items to be set-up. Let your Month-of Coordinator worry about setting up your photos, guest book, card box, name cards, gifts, seating chart, etc. They will make sure all the little details are done according to how you envisioned it.
4.Keeping the day going and on time.
Did your ceremony finish early and the appetizers aren’t due to come out for another ten minutes? Your Month-of Coordinator will be able to work with the vendor team to come up with a solution. Maybe while you wait for those mouth watering hors d’oeuvres, you gather everyone for a group shot instead. Your guests will just think it was part of the original plan. Your wedding day timeline is a great tool to follow for your wedding day, but sometimes plans have to change slightly. Let your coordinator worry about that so that you can still enjoy your day.
5.Knowing who is going to be doing what on the wedding day.
You have worked with your florist to create these beautiful pieces that will need to be moved from the ceremony site to the reception hall. Unless you are paying for another delivery fee and the florist can stay, you may need someone else to bring them to the reception hall. Knowing what needs to be set-up where and possibly moved between the ceremony and reception is part of your Month-of Coordinator’s duties. What about all the beautiful candles you have set-up in the reception hall? The venue staff may not light them or have the time to do so. In your coordinator’s emergency kit, they will always be carrying extra lighters. Just make sure your coordinator knows where the candles are that need to be lit.
