Barn Wedding in Lindsay, ON

Sarah & Sean

Sarah approached me about 5 weeks before their wedding for help with Month-of Coordination. The wedding was to take place on Sarah’s parents property in the Kawartha’s. Sarah’s main concerns were that there would be a lot of moving parts - ceremony on one spot, dinner in another spot, dancing somewhere else. She wanted the comfort in knowing that everything would be set up and ready to go in each location.

Sarah’s dad completely redid the barn so that the ceremony could be hosted there as well as the dancing following dinner. A beautiful chandelier was created and installed in the bar to add extra lighting. Tent Plus provided the tent and other rentals where dinner would be taking place, just next to the barn. Natural Born Smokers provided a delicious buffet.

Speeches took place during dinner. So many beautiful and heartfelt stories about Sarah and Sean, how their relationship progressed, what they mean to their families and each other. It was beautiful. Sarah and Sean did have an MC who was able to add personal touches while introducing the next person for their speech. My favourite part had to be when the MC went up to introduce the final speech but got into telling a story and at the end turned to me and said, “I think that is everyone correct?”. I shook my head and responded “Bride & Groom!”. The MC then turned back to the crowd and says “Well, I think I may be fired as I forgot about the speech from the two most important people.” Everyone, including the Bride and Groom had a good laugh. It turned out to be a great way to get them up there for their speech.

After dinner everyone made their way back to the barn where picnic tables had been put out around the barn for guests to sit with the dance floor space in the middle. Sarah and Sean started things out with their first dance and a Bridal party dance.

It was a fantastic September wedding; filled with lots of laughs, memories and dancing.
